Job Description

SUMMARY:

Lifetouch School Photography is looking for a highly motivated marketing professional to join our Ecommerce Marketing team. This role will be focused on creating an excellent retail experience on our largest ecommerce site, used by over 11 million visitors to purchase school pictures each year.

This role requires close partnership with cross-functional teams responsible for site and content strategy, UX, site development, and merchandising. You'll contribute to improving the business and onsite customer experience by managing content, serving as business lead for onsite testing and optimization efforts, and help drive data-driven UX enhancements. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organization, results focus, and a passion for digital and improving the customer experience.



PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage content for ecommerce website by gathering, organizing, and implementing copy and images in a proprietary content management system (CMS)
  • Provide support for retail website strategy and execution to help drive customer engagement, purchase and order value
  • Collaborate with multiple teams responsible for site and content strategy, UX, website development, project management and product merchandising
  • Support content development and implementation by managing a content schedule and working with cross-functional teams
  • Write creative briefs and articulate communication objectives to direct internal/external agency work
  • Troubleshoot content issues with cross-functional team members
  • Help manage site A/B testing and results, to improve site performance and gain site learnings
  • Assist in creating a clear and relevant customer experience by working with marketing team members responsible for social media, emails and print communications
  • Create, test and monitor promotion codes and other ecommerce-related activities
  • Support copy needs with strong writing and editing skills
  • Define, document and communicate business rules, requirements and seasonal updates for operations, system development and sales partners.

  • Perform other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's degree in journalism, marketing, communications or related business degree required.

Experience: 1-3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, digital/ecommerce, or business communication.

  • Organized individual with excellent attention to detail who notices even the smallest inconsistencies
  • Interested in how systems and processes work to create excellent site experiences
  • Self-starter who asks questions, learns quickly, and likes to problem solve
  • Strong interest and skills in writing and/or content development and strategy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills for working with various partners throughout the business
  • Strong project management skills; comfortable working with project plans and timelines
  • Able to perform similar tasks repeatedly with a high degree of accuracy
  • Experience working with a content management system (CMS) or customer relationship management (CRM) is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as Google documents
  • Experience with Optimizely and Google Analytics a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

When performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach, use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and assemble/disassemble equipment. The employee must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds (and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds).
