Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Lead Software Engineer for our Camera Engineering Team. You will provide technical leadership and mentor a team of software engineers and QA Analysts defining, developing, and deploying portrait capture systems software used for high volume photography in schools throughout the United States and Canada. You will drive the process of defining business and technical requirements by engaging with business experts. You will develop effective software solutions through the development of solid architecture, and software development with the Camera Engineering Team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to take strategic direction from management and apply toward the development of effective software solutions
  • Lead software architecture activities and develop solid architecture solutions with other software engineering team members
  • Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and developing team members to enhance individual skills and capabilities
  • Distribute code assignments aligned with team member strengths and growth opportunities
  • Complete the development of high quality software solutions
  • Complete prototyping and feasibility studies of new technologies
  • Participate in peer code reviews and technical meetings
  • Establish and effectively work with cross-functional business experts, software architects, and developers
  • Assess opportunities for application and process improvement and prepare documentation of rationale to share with team members and other affected parties.
  • Provide third-level support to business users.


Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
