New Business Development Representative

Sells and promotes Lifetouch portrait programs, products, and services prospective accounts within the assigned sales area to meet sales expectations within the framework of the sales plan. Leverage customer relationships and provide insight and expertise in product knowledge.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Defines new business development opportunities in conjunction with the Regional Sales Director and local leadership and executes those opportunities to win accounts.
  • Wins new accounts in the assigned area by calling on and visiting all prospective customers and introducing new photography products and packages.
  • Promotes all Lifetouch area product lines to school principals and officials, parent organizations, yearbook advisors, coaches/athletic directors, student groups and administrators.
  • Utilizes and maintains calling and prospecting activity reporting using the Account Management system.
  • Completes accurate sales contracts for orders including pricing, payment terms and services in accordance with Lifetouch guidelines.
  • Executes promotional programs and discounted rates within sales plan timeframes.
  • Maximizes productivity by the effective scheduling of appointments and geographic routing.
  • Attends regularly scheduled sales meetings.
  • Meeting with and updating the Territory Manager on a regular basis regarding sales activity, challenges and opportunities toward achieving established sales expectations.
  • Participates in company-sponsored meetings to review sales performance, product development, sales goals and profitability.
  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and training. A minimum of five years of proven outside sales experience or customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Proven selling, influencing, and negotiation skills, specifically related to acquiring new business.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
