Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepares federal, state and local payroll tax deposits and returns.
  • Completes multiple worksite forms and any other required reporting.
  • Request and negotiate abatement of possible fines and penalties, if needed, from tax jurisdictions.
  • Performs account reconciliations.
  • Prepares month-end journal entries.
  • Reviews payroll tax processes for efficiencies and proper controls.
  • Maintains legal compliance of child support orders.
  • Documentation of processes and procedures in accordance with SOX guidelines.
  • Ensures tax software is kept updated for tax deductions and deductions are updated in payroll system.
  • Supports Payroll Coordinators with data entry of tasks from Onboarding System.


Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned



  • Bachelor’s Degree with accounting or finance concentration or equivalent experience



  • 5 or more years related experience



  • Knowledge of federal, state and local payroll laws and regulations
  • Payroll certification preferred
  • Strong computer experience working with various systems
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
