Job Description


The Performance Support Analyst role analyzes data, provides insights and illustrates trends as well as compiles data to depict and measure business results as well as enable informed decision making. This role also develops and delivers ad-hoc reports based on business needs.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages large volumes of data (e.g., sessions, sales, products, customer behavior) by executing, and developing, data queries in various tools (e.g., SQL, Access, Excel) to enable analysis and reporting.
  • Prepares and maintains daily, weekly and monthly metric reports accurately and timely, as well as identifies opportunities for efficiencies.
  • Maintains and ensures data integrity and accuracy of the promotional database.
  • Facilitates the timely deployment of promotion codes, in partnership with subject matter experts, to ensure accuracy and proper pricing.
  • Supports the evaluation of business performance, pricing strategies, tests and customer behavior/segmentation.
  • Supports the analysis of industry and market conditions (e.g., competitive analysis, customer demographics).
  • Collaborates within the Business Analytics team to identify data flow and analysis efficiencies.
  • Safe-guards all customer, employee and company proprietary and personal information ensuring customer and employee data is kept confidential at all times.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Builds technical knowledge, and helps evaluate tools, specifically related to applicable emerging technologies (e.g., business intelligence tools) in support of data management and analysis efforts.
  • Provides ad-hoc analysis of various marketing programs and business initiatives..
  • Participates in budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.


  • Undergraduate degree in business or related field or equivalent related experience.


  • 2 - 5 years in business, finance or marketing analytics.
  • Working in a cross-functional environment.
  • Analyzing large volumes of data and reporting results.

Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Access.
  • Demonstrated database knowledge and use of queries in tools such as Access, SQL and Excel.
  • Knowledge of business intelligence tools, strongly preferred.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data and establish facts.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Detail oriented in the execution and follow-up of work.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize as well as balance and execute against multiple projects/priorities simultaneously, working efficiently.
