Job Summary

Specializes in the photography and product development function for Lifetouch Church Directories and Portraits, Inc.

 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Leads the photographic development process for LCD, in partnership with Enterprise Photographic Development and R&D, to develop, test, and implement photographic design, capture, image technology, and production systems.
  • Drives photographic test concepts for the business and delivers analysis and proposals to facilitate decisions.
  • Partners cross-functionally to ensure seamless implementation of new concepts including developing training.
  • Department owner for online learning platform including instructional design for photography related content.
  • Produce and distribute the Celebrate book to showcase new photography style and recognize top photographers

 

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a liaison between LCD, Enterprise Photography and R&D.
  • Partners with Manager of Field Training to drive and support key photography quality initiatives.
  • Partners with Marketing team to create products that are supported by LCD photographic designs
  • Develop new backgrounds, props and styles of photography
  • Manages incoming released images: including cropping/ retouching/ editing
  • Assists in the design of the WOW newsletter
  • Photographs new team member images
  • Partners with team to plan and photograph sample and training images
  • Leads other organizational training initiatives, projects, or duties as assigned.

 

Education

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in some type of design discipline that includes photography and/or instructional design or equivalent experience

 

Experience

  • 8 – 10 years in photography operations or training
  • 3 – 5 years of experience leading teams and/or initiatives preferred

Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Knowledge of photography and the photography industry, evolving technologies, trends, and best practices
  • Strong design capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Advanced problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Photography Editing and design skills in platforms such as Photoshop, Lightroom, InDesign etc.
