Job Description

Lifetouch has an exciting opportunity for a Process Engineer to join our team! This position provides high-level professional support for the implementation, management, and evaluation of all phases of the mechanical/electrical, image/data systems or process engineering program or plan for a Lifetouch Company or line of business.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handles most complex assignments associated with the mechanical, image/data systems or process engineering function
  • Develops recommendations, designs, modifications, and procedures for production process control and improvement and leads implementation of these change initiatives for most complex system or process
  • Provides direction in primary areas of expertise (mechanical, image/data systems or process engineering)
  • Leads engineering work group to develop design changes for equipment and plant facility layouts, workflow, process improvement and safety precautions
  • Develops testing and inspection strategies Troubleshoots production problems related to equipment and system failures and identifies corrective action
  • Expert in Lean Manufacturing methods for process improvement
  • Directs team of engineers to diagnose and prioritize requests for technical support to our manufacturing facilities for complex issues Develops and modifies complex engineering documents (specifications, standards, drawing, etc.) to communicate the technical requirements of machinery, systems and processes

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works with vendors to provide and improve technology and business process solutions, and may manage vendor relationship Identifies feasibility and cost of new products and product changes for most complex products and product changes & Determines production costs for most complex product and identifies impact of any changes to the product cost
  • Determines equipment requirements to support capacity changes, product changes, volume changes for most complex equipment, systems and products Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned


  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience


  • 5 or more years in an engineering or development discipline
