Job Description

In order to support continued growth, the marketing team at Lifetouch is looking for motivated professionals to join the expanding team. This is an exciting time to work on business transforming projects dedicated to bringing new products and services to our customers across North America.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary function of this position is assist in the management of the yearbook product offering to schools across all market segments: elementary, middle and high schools. This role will also contribute to seasonal execution of the marketing strategy and tactics to grow market share.

The product offering consists of web-based yearbook creation tool, resources for advisers and student groups and creative options that help in the design of the yearbook final product. The breadth of responsibilities require the ability to lead and participate in cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Finance and Operations).

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Execute marketing tactics and plans at the direction of marketing managers or director.
  • Coordinate the seasonal execution of the program offering including development of yearbook adviser and classroom resources and creative assets used by the school to design the yearbook.
  • Interpret market research data and convert into proposed targeted marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Assist in managing the seasonal updates and refinements of marketing content on the yearbook creation website, working alongside technical and operational teams.
  • Establish and execute market tests to help roll out new products.
  • Assist in planning internal and external communications that outline product line updates
  • Assist in writing business plans identifying objectives, strategies, key initiatives and performance measurements by using insights collected from situation assessment, marketplace information, etc. in order to support product development strategies.
  • Work with cross-functional partners to determine, document and communicate seasonal go-to-market strategies and program details.
  • Write creative briefs (e.g., physical, digital and web materials; product design) that clearly articulate communication objectives and criteria in order to inform and direct agency work and creative development for effective execution of marketing programs and objectives.
  • Interpret business results, metrics and research.
  • Assess untapped opportunities in order to identify new product offerings and adjacencies
  • Contribute to product knowledge training to new and existing sales professionals
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

MINIMUM GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Education: 4 year degree in marketing or related business degree.

Experience: 1-3 years of product marketing experience or meaningful experience within an internship in marketing, or other related business function.

Other knowledge, skills, and abilities:

  • The ability to think creatively in order to develop sound recommendations and solutions to achieve strategic business goals
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and assignments
  • Adept in anticipating, assessing and translating customer needs into actionable tactics
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Some experience in development and delivery of business presentations.
  • Ability to participate in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of and the ability to apply basic marketing concepts (SWOT, competitive analysis, brand positioning etc) used in the development of marketing plans
  • Understanding of various channels (print, video, Internet, e-mail) to promote, market, sell, inform or train our audiences about Lifetouch yearbooks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Some experience with web content management systems
