Job Description


Responds to customer inquires and ensures that customers continue to receive first-rate service or support with regard to their questions and concerns regarding school yearbooks. Provide assistance to all yearbook sales members.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Yearbook Sales Representative with miscellaneous duties such as: mailings, delivering of kits or sales materials, training schools about the online program, imprinting flyers, entering teacher name list online, organizing promotional packets, ensuring jobs are Flash matched and uploaded to the website, and obtaining over due balance on accounts.
  • Gathers lead information for Sales Representatives and may act as lead generators by calling potential customers.
  • Assists, coaches and services the yearbook customer via telephone. Notifies Yearbook Sales Representatives of customer requests for service visits.
  • Ensures customer understanding and compliance to publishing deadlines and material submission requirements.
  • Completes all yearbook training programs as offered by Lifetouch Publishing Training Department.
  • Collaborates with Lifetouch Publishing Production, KC Customer Care and LNSS Lab personnel to resolve customer and sales representative inquiries.
  • Provides on-going support and follow-up for all LPI Marketing/Sales promotions, initiatives and workshops.
  • Accesses and utilizes Lifetouch Publishing websites to support customer inquiries and internal production reporting.
  • Monitors and assists in collection of payments from accounts
  • Assist schools with yearbook design and page layouts. May build yearbook pages if the school requires it.
  • Assists the Yearbook Sales Representative in completing the required paperwork (e.g. Publication Agreements, proposals, invoicing, etc) in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Maintains inventory of territory yearbook supplies.
  • Maintains customer information and history in an electronic database.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum General Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and relevant post-secondary coursework/formal customer service training.
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet software required.
  • Superior phone and customer service skills/etiquette.
  • Excellent verbal, written, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to deal patiently with problems and complaints and to remain courteous when faced with difficult or angry customers.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
