Job Description

Handles customer service inquiries and problems via the telephone and email in an inbound/outbound service center, consistent with service and quality standards. Works with moderate supervision to troubleshoot and resolve customer issues at an advanced level. Customer service is the primary function, but may include minimal selling or promotion of products or services for reorders or to save the sale. Calls are predominantly routine, but may require deviation from standard screens, scripts, and procedures. Uses computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities  

  • To accept customer calls answering product and service questions
  • Resolve customer complaints; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
  • Process customer adjustments
  • Make return calls to customers
  • Process incoming mail; entering customer data into computer
  • Process Credit Card Charges
  • Perform related duties as assigned

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned


  • High School Diploma or equivalent


  • Experience in telephone customer service

 Other (knowledge, skills, and abilities):

  • Intermediate computer skills
  • Basic MS Office skills
  • Ability to navigate computerized data entry systems and relevant applications
  • Quality conscious
  • Customer service exposure or experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent phone etiquette
