Job Description

In this position, the successful candidate will write .NET software and design user interface solutions for onsite photographic and technology related solutions. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding and designing for the needs of the end user(s). Also, priority will be placed on performance of the solutions, with minimal impact to end user workflow/productivity. The candidate will work in a team environment alongside other software developers, QA resources and field deployment group.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop software for picture day solutions and create applications for performing photography
  • operations.
  • Effectively collaborate with QA, developers and leadership to ensure solutions and tools meet needs
  • of the end user and is accountable for successful release by utilizing Lean product development
  • methodologies.
  • Implement user interface solutions based upon designs derived from business requirements within a
  • released production application.
  • Perform modeling and iterating of UI concepts and prototypes to ensure acceptance from users
  • Ability to perform research into SDK’s and integrate them into existing custom framework
  • technology.
  • Develop technology to manage data associated with onsite image capture (picture day) events using
  • SQL and ADO .Net technologies.
  • Develop control software for interfacing with real time asynchronous events; perform threading
  • operations within a custom threading pool environment.
  • Responsible for creating internal application tools for optimizing development and QA functions
  • Additional Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


  • Six years in the design, implementation and support of business and/or production systems applications.
  • Six years of programming in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Experience with Lean product development methodologies.

  • C#
  • .Net 4.0
  • WPF
  • Windows Forms
  • VB.Net
  • ADO.Net
  • Experience with threading within a .Net environment.
  • Experience with asynchronous events within a .Net environment.
  • Experience with XML.
