Job Description

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Associate II is responsible for picking, filling, packaging, and shipping customer orders/requisitions, assisting with the stocking and receiving of materials, equipment and supplies, maintaining adequate inventories through computer transactions and physical count, and basic housekeeping. Incumbent will perform cycle counts of inventory to ensure correct stock levels and assist other Warehouse and Distribution personnel with purchase order receiving adjustments, and the identification and handling of inferior, damaged and lost materials.

  • Performs entry-level support for the warehouse function
  • Moves products using powered equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers)
  • Pick, pack and ship customer orders including preparation of domestic and international paperwork
  • Handles the unloading, receipt and put away of all incoming materials and supplies
  • Performs daily cycle counts as directed
  • Handles off-site storage transfers
  • Picks and delivers internal tech and work orders
  • Assists with special kitting requests
  • Follows safety and quality standards

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs other projects or miscellaneous duties as requested or assigned

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

 Experience

  • One to three years in warehousing, order fulfillment, or inventory management experience is required
  • Awareness of safe and efficient use of material handling equipment and effective warehouse organization and practices is required
  • Experience with automated inventory management systems and shipment systems & method is preferred   
  • Basic computer skills are necessary; familiarity with MS Windows, Office and/or inventory control

  • Ability to learn multiple inventory control software systems
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and telephone)
  • Team player with excellent organization skills
  • Familiarity with 5S and LEAN methodologies including visual management and Standard Work preferred
  • Ability to operate work assist vehicles (JLG's), forklifts, pallet jacks and carts to move palletized stock to locations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Ability work flexible hours and work seasonal overtime as necessary

 Physical Requirements

The physical requirements described here must be met by an employee to successfully perform the primary duties and responsibilities. 

 When performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit, stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, crawl, twist, balance, reach, use hands and fingers to perform repetitive tasks and assemble/disassemble equipment.   The employee must be able to frequently lift and move up to 35  pounds (and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds).
